Greta Thunberg encouraged climate activists to avoid “big public gatherings” as the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads.
This, however, as Greta Thunberg stated that her “Fridays for Future” movement would organize online strikes instead.
In her Instagram post, she warned her followers that it was essential that they listened to the advice of health experts who have advised people to avoid big public gatherings to “flatten the curve” and to slow down the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19.
Following her lengthy statement, Greta encouraged climate activists to “join the #DigitalStrike for upcoming Fridays”, instructing them to “post a photo of you striking with a sign and use the hashtag #ClimateStrikeOnline ! #fridaysforfuture #climatestrike #schoolstrike4climate”
