Facebook acknowledged a bug that was responsible for blocking news related to coronavirus disease.
Facebook said that a bug in its anti-spam system was blocking the publication of links to news stories about the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
This, as Guy Rosen, the vice president of integrity of Facebook, posted a tweet, saying that the company was working on fixing the said problem.
We’ve restored all the posts that were incorrectly removed, which included posts on all topics – not just those related to COVID-19. This was an issue with an automated system that removes links to abusive websites, but incorrectly removed a lot of other posts too.

Users were complaining that links to news stories about information related to the coronavirus pandemic being blocked by Facebook’s automated system. Rosen added that the problems were unrelated to any changes to its content moderator workforce.
Facebook reportedly sent its human moderators home this week.
