The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) issued an advisory on the payment of wages for April 9, 10, and 11, 2020.
Signed by DOLE Sec. Silvestre Bello III on Monday, the Labor Advisory No. 13 Series of 2020 was pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 845 that was issued by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte last November 15, 2019.
April 9, 2020 will mark the 78th anniversary of Araw ng Kagitingan in the Philippines, yet, the Maundy Thursday for the Catholics was also scheduled on the same day as the Araw ng Kagitingan. Thus, April 9, 2020 has two regular holidays.
The Good Friday for the Catholics was also considered as one of the regular holidays as it was scheduled on April 10, 2020. In addition, the Special Non-working Day was scheduled on April 11, 2020.
To summarize, here are the following rules for pay on regular holidays (April 9 and 10) and special non-working day (April 11):
