Officials in Bacolod City on Monday announced that they will be implementing Liquor Ban starting 12:00 a.m. today, March 24, 2020.
This, as the Bacolod Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19 (IATF) pushed the resolution that prohibits buying and selling of liquors.
According to Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, residents in the city didn’t follow social distancing just because they’re drinking liquors near the stores, adding that some residents who don’t have work opted to buy and drink liquors instead of saving his money or buying his food to eat.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia has yet to sign the Executive Order, yet the liquor ban will start on March 24 at 12:00 a.m. The city mayor has yet to release the guidelines for the implementation of Liquor Ban.
