This year’s New York International Auto Show has postponed until August due to COVID-19 concerns, according to the organizers.
This, as the New York Auto Show was originally scheduled to start April 10 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City and was organized by the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association. According to Chris Sams, the show’s spokesperson, the auto show will take place on August 28 – September 6, while the press days will take place on August 26 and 27.
In an emailed statement sent to Techcrunch, Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association’s President Mark Schienberg said that they’re “taking this extraordinary step to help protect our attendees, exhibitors and all participants from the coronavirus,” adding that their top priority remained with “the health and well-being of all those involved in this historic event.”
