Update on New Coronavirus Cases in the Philippines
NEW CORONAVIRUS CASES – The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 16 new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines.
The Philippines is on a huge battle against COVID-19 now or the 2019 novel coronavirus, it is a pandemic – its impact is far beyond what was expected.
The said disease has infected over 80,000 people in China and left Italy under a total lockdown with its death toll surpassing China’s.
In the Philippines, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has already declared a state of calamity in the whole country. The entire Luzon is also under an enhanced community quarantine now.
The government and the authorities, most especially the Department of Health (DOH), is calling out for the people to stay at their homes. A gathering may be an opportunity for the public to infect a lot of people rapidly.
With regards to the number of cases in the Philippines, based on Inquirer, DOH recorded 16 new coronavirus cases in the country. It brings the total to 396 confirmed COVID-19 cases in PH.
According to the health department, 18 patients of coronavirus in the country have recovered. There were already senior citizens who won the battle against the disease.
