Swab Test Results of Baby Suspected For Coronavirus in Palawan
RESULTS OF BABY SUSPECTED FOR CORONAVIRUS – The results of the swab test of the infant in Palawan has arrived.
Currently, a lot of people in the Philippines are under monitoring following the confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the country. There are three (3) confirmed cases in PH.
The first person to be tested positive for nCoV is a Chinese woman from Wuhan City, China, the epicenter of the disease. The said 38-year-old patient reached PH through Hong Kong.
Her partner, a 44-year-old Chinese man, also tested positive for coronavirus. The said man passed away a few days after their confinement at San Lazaro Hospital in Manila. He is the first coronavirus death case outside China.
Another Chinese national tested positive for coronavirus in the Philippines. The said Chinese has already flew back to China as the 60-year-old initially got conflicting results.
Following the confirmations, the authorities traced the people who had a contact with the patients. They are put under strict monitoring.
Aside from these people, several others most especially those who had travel histories to affected countries are quarantined. Their swab tests are sent for checking to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, one of the people monitored for suspected coronavirus is a baby. The said infant is in Palawan.
Recently, the swab test results of baby suspected for coronavirus in Palawan has arrived. The baby tested negative for nCoV. The patient was already released from the hospital.
