Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea to close for two weeks due to fears over the COVID-19 outbreak, according to an operator.
Disneyland and DisneySea, Tokyo’s two Disney parks, would be closed for around two weeks due to fears over the COVID-19 outbreak, according to an operator.
This, after the Japanese government on Friday encouraged measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19. In a statement, Oriental Land, the operator of Tokyo Disney parks, said that the Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea “have decided to proceed with an extraordinary closure from Saturday, February 29, 2020, through Sunday, March 15”.
Oriental Land added that they’re planning to reopen Tokyo Disney parks on March 16, yet they will decide when to open by “looking at the situation and developments” and they will also consult official agencies concerned as well.
