Silvio Horta, a writer and producer who created Ugly Betty, died Tuesday in a hotel room in Miami, Florida. He was 45 years old.
Silvio Horta’s agent confirmed that the writer and producer died in Miami, Florida. As of this writing, Horta’s agent didn’t give information about his cause of death.
According to Variety, his body was discovered in a hotel room. Sources told Variety that he died of a “self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
America Ferrera, an actress who starred in the American version of “Ugly Betty,” posted on her Instagram account about his passing.
