A certain photo caught the attention of the netizens when a photographer took a photo of an annular solar eclipse using his DIY solar filter.
In a Facebook post from a photographer Matt Dorimon Parreñas, he posted his behind-the-scene photos wherein he used his DIY solar filter in taking an annular solar eclipse in Silay City. His DIY solar filter was made of pasteboard and a welding glass.
He attached his DIY solar filter on his camera together with its zoom lens and a camera stand. From then, he successfully captured the scene where the moon was close to the sun.
In a separate post, Mark Pollen Dorimon Parreñas recorded a video where Matt was testing out his creation as he took a shot of an annular solar eclipse while listening to a Christmas song.
Some of the netizens loved his creation, while others can’t believe that his DIY solar filter was effective enough to take an annular solar eclipse at some point.
