National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologist Patrick Chan confirmed that meteors that “breaking up in the sky” were spotted outside Home Depot in Guam.
Just after the annular solar eclipse, another celestial phenomenon appeared in the skies of Guam last Friday night. A “bright light” was spotted in the sky and netizens posted videos on social media.
National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologist Patrick Chan said that he saw “a bright light breaking up in the sky” as it may look like “a meteorite” when he saw the video. He confirmed that it was a meteor.

Patrick Chan also said that it was a “reasonably-sized” meteor that broke into pieces before having its impact. He added that the meteor may land on “somewhere in the ocean” based on its distance to the sky.
Chan also said that the meteors won’t have an effect due to its quick phenomenon.
