Councilor Israel Salanga reminded the citizens of Bacolod through his social media account Sunday that they will check their receipts before they pay.
In a Facebook post from Councilor Israel Salanga, he shared his experience while he was in three different restaurants. He revealed that he reviewed his receipt three times and admitted that it could be his “honest mistake” due to his change of orders without canceling the unavailable product present on the menu.
He also said that citizens must review their receipts or bills if the charges were correct or not, regardless if it was intentional or not. He added that they must also double-check their billing to see if these overcharged amounts were smaller or bigger that needs to correct.
Councilor Israel Salanga advised that citizens must request for a receipt when they eat on a restaurant, top-up gasoline on your vehicles, or even buy something inside malls. He also said that citizens of the city must “be a responsible citizen”.
